Manchester United have refused to be drawn on reports Bebe s move to Old Trafford is being investigated by Portuguese anti-corruption police.

Sepp Blatter has called on FIFA s member organisations to follow its lead on anti-corruption and help make football fully transparent.

The organisation was embroiled in a bribery scandal in 2011 when Blatter s presidential rival, Mohamed Bin Hammam, was accused of offering members of the Executive Committee cash in exchange for votes.

Bin Hammam was banned from the sport for life following a number of failed appeals, while CONCACAF president Jack Warner, who had been the subject of a number of accusations over corruption throughout his 11-year reign, resigned his post.

Chelsea have confirmed the club will appeal against FIFA s ruling that a two-window transfer ban will stand.

FIFA announced on Wednesday that Chelsea will not be able to sign players until 2020, although their initial appeal was partially upheld and they will now be permitted register players under the age of 16.

Chelsea, though, continue to deny any wrongdoing after they were sanctioned in relation to 29 cases where regulations relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18 were breached.

Gianni Infantino believes there should be way more football as he defended FIFA s expansion of the World Cup and new Club World Cup proposal.

Infantino was re-elected as FIFA president at the FIFA Congress on Thursday after running unopposed.

FIFA confirmed earlier this week that the 2026 World Cup will consist of 48 teams, up from 32, split into 12 groups of four, while plans were also confirmed for an expanded Club World Cup containing 32 teams.
