14-03-2010 Manchester United vs Fulham

Having finally eclipsed rivals Chelsea at the top of the table, Manchester United will be looking to continue their fine run of form with another victory this weekend, but Fyulham manager Roy Hodgson will have different ideas as he continues to produce superb results on a hsoestring.

Manchester United Looked a bit short at the beginning of the season, but as usual their form over the christmas period and beyond has been superb. Wayne Rooney s form has been magnificent this season and he is well on his way to being the Premierleague s top scorer by the end of the season. Having already started 43 games this season he is obviously having to tailor his training regime to suit such a busy season but he shows no signs of flagging yet, having scored two goals in each of his side s matches against AC Milan in the Champions league. United have few serious injury worries however several players are missing for this weekend, including WEs Brown, Evans, O shea, Giggs, Anderson, Hargreaves and Owen. This should not be a problem for a United side with unrivalled strength in depth.

Roy Hodgson continues to get the best out of his paper thin squad and it has to be said that the lack of injuries this season has been kind to him. He must be bredited though with the career topping performances of Bobby Zamora and Clint Dempsey, with both players playing out of their skin all season. A top half finish would be great for Hodgson this season, with so many teams spending mega bucks around them. This clash might be a quality gap too far though, and I think Fulham will struggle to come away with anything. The squad is relatively injury free with Murphy attempting to shake off a minor injury, and they will need all of their key players, and a slice of luck, to get anything out of the game.

Verdict: Manchester United Home Win
